CoStrivv started on a coffee shop napkin—but really, it started the moment I watched a brilliant idea get thrown away.
We were all knee-deep in startups, nursing cappuccinos like lifelines, when my friend pulled out a napkin and started sketching. His eyes lit up as he explained his idea—voice rising with conviction, hands moving faster than his pen could keep up. It was raw, unpolished, but there. You could feel the potential radiating off that crumpled piece of paper.
Then, mid-sentence, another friend cut in about investor drama at his company. The conversation shifted. That napkin—and the idea on it—got pushed to the corner of the table. Within minutes, a waiter swept it away with the empty cups.
I sat there, frozen, watching genius disappear into a trash bin.
